You need:

  • a supported phone, and
  • a data plan (or equivalent network plan if outside of US), and
  • The AccuTracking software has to be installed and running on the phone.

Data Plan Details:

Data plan is required because the phone needs to send out the GPS data to our servers so you can view them online in real time. For details of how AccuTracking works, please see here.

  • For Boost Mobile phones: "Wireless Web Features" (the "35 cents per day" feature) need to be activated. You can add that when activating the phone;
  • For other phones, an Internet plan is needed.

If GPS is blocked on your phone, AccuTracking won't be able to get location information

Take the phone to an open area with a good view of sky. GPS usually doesn't work indoors and doesn't work well in downtown streets surrounded by high buildings.
